Me: {Ah, the TV guide. Whew!} Ok, well, do you know who Satan is?
K: He's the bad god?
Me: The bad god?
K: Well, that's what Tyler said {he's her classmate}.
Me: Well, there is only one God, Kayla. Satan was actually an angel, in fact, the leader of all the angels... until he wanted to be better than God, and became bad, so he got cast down from Heaven...
K: Ohhh. Just like Darth Vader, then? Because Anikin was good then became bad...
Me: Yes, Kayla, just like Darth Vader...
I then continued with my re-telling of the origin of sin with Adam & Eve and finished with the Gospel - that God is more powerful than Satan, and has defeated evil and death, and wiped out our sins through Jesus dying on the cross and rising again. That the enemy is doing everything he can to battle and drag people into sin, even when God has already won the war... that we don't have to be scared ever again.
